The Learning and Psychology Centre (LPC) Global Advisory Board Meeting
On October 31, the second meeting of the LPC Global Advisory Board was held in Oxford, England. The LPC Global Advisory Board are a global panel of experts of highly qualified psychologists and academia, from prestigious universities such as King’s College of London, Oxford, Durham and Reading.
At this meeting, the LPC Global Advisory Board confirmed plans to establish a new LPC headquarters in London with the aim to provide services that support children and young people with learning and / or emotional difficulties, in the UK and globally. The meeting also marked the launch of an exciting new initiative that will allow schools around the world to partner exclusively with the LPC to receive specialist advice.
The LPC offers a unique multidisciplinary approach which is evidence-based and involves a combination of Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Psychology and Special Education treatments. A highly qualified, bi-lingual team deliver the service at LPC Bogota and have been specially trained by Colombian psychologist, Annie de Acevedo. The academic division at LPC Bogota is led by the education specialist, Claudia Nigrinis.
